  • If you like Paul O'Grady, you will love his books. I have all of them, and I suggest reading them in chronological order if you're going to get them. He's a funny man, and his books are well written and entertaining. He has an amazing life.

  • This is a great book with stories that will make you shed tears for reasons of sadness & as expected tears of laughter. I read it while lying alone on a sun lounger & really laughed out loud on a few occasions much to the amusement of my fellow holiday makers. A great insight into Paul O'Grady & the immaculate conception of Lily Savage

  • I found it hard to put this book down and couldn't wait to pick it up again. Funny, poignant, enlightening and a darn good read is how I can only begin to describe this book. Paul reveals the lead up to the coming out of his 'female side' as Lily Savage and how she changed his life.

  • Well worth a read, if you have any humour in your sole, this book is a must read
    Nice one Paul.....

  • Excellent read, like listening to an old pal recounting favourite memories, with a vocabulary extensive, succinct and colourful.
Looking eagerly forward to reading "The Savage Years,' next.

  • I love Paul but I wanted more of Lily's rise to fame. All Paul not much Lily, but hilarious just the same
